How To Choose The Correct Model:

Determine distance “A” from the outer diameter of your arrow to the inside of the bow window (pic. 5). This distance tells you which Beiter Support / Arrow Rest you need.

"15 (S #1)" means that you can use an arrow/rest combination with a measurement of up to “A”=15mm.
Likewise with the 17mm finger.

Exceptions may be solved as follows:

  • Distance “A” is LESS THAN 15mm (or resp. 17mm). The overhanging Arrow Rest finger may be cut with a pair of small pliers.
  • Distance “A” is MORE THAN 15mm (or resp. 17mm). Use Support #2 to add 1mm or Support #3 to add 2mm.

Other details on the Arrow Rest:

  • The number in the circle determines for which shafts it can be used, e.g. “12” for 10/64” to 14/64”, “23” from 20/64” to 24/64”).
  • The number at the bottom of the Arrow Rest (e.g. 0,65) tells about the thickness of the Finger in Millimeters.

ATTENTION:
If the plunger has to be screwed in too much, the thread may appear on the inside of the window and may push against the support: if this happens just use a longer Plunger Pin.
Beiter recommends use of the Beiter Plunger 6523.0 (max. screw-in-depth 23mm), which includes 3 white (34mm) and 3 black (36mm) Pins.
If those Pins are still too short a blue Pin (38mm) may be ordered separately, to reach even 25mm screw-in-depth.

The Beiter Rest for recurve is the first Arrow Rest designed by Werner Beiter to be sold on the archery market.
Years of testing, many prototypes, hundreds of High Speed Films have helped to develop this first Beiter arrow rest for Recurve.

Rest Features:

  • The Beiter Rest for Recurve is designed to work for both Left- and Right-handed archers! No need for separate LH or RH models.
  • With the Beiter Rest for Recurve an archer can change e.g. from Aluminum to Carbon Arrows in only a few seconds!
  • The Beiter Rest for Recurve makes no noise (according to Beiter's test archers!)
  • The Beiter Rest consists out of 3 parts, manufactured from the highest quality plastic, and is easily applied on the inside of the bow window.

What do you get?:

  • Beiter Rest, (1 Support #1 with Glue Strip mounted with 1 Spindle, 1 Finger)
  • 1 Extra Finger
  • 1 Extra Spindle
  • 1 Beiter Rest Tool
  • 1 Extra Glue Strip
  • Instructions and Installation Guide
  • Boxed in a 30mm x120mm Twist-Box

Support:

The Support incorporates a revolutionary guiding System for the Finger, which may change position, carried by a specifically designed Spindle.
Due to the Support being applied with a specific angle (max ca. 15°), the Arrow Position versus the Plunger and the Nocking Point may be determined and changed very quickly and more precise than with any other Rest on the market!
A Scale offers the opportunity to re-position the Finger after tests or changes.

3 Supports are available, differing in their thickness, to have the desired arrow position on bows with different cut-outs: #S1, #S2 (= #S1 + 1mm), #S3 (= S#1 + 2mm).

Finger:

There are three types of Finger:
  • 15-12-0,65 for arrows with diameter Ψ5.2 +/-1 (10/64“-14/64“)
  • 16-17-0,65 for arrows with diameter Ψ7.8 +/-1 (15/64“-19/64“)
  • 17-23-0,77 for arrows with diameter Ψ9.3 +/-1 (20/64“-24/64“)

RE192307717-23-0773199.3 +/-120/64"-24/64"

On the Finger you will find some details to determine the model:

  • The number “15 (S #1)” respectively “17 (S #1)” tells, that this finger may be used up to arrow to handle distance 15mm respectively 17mm (Dist. "A").
  • The circled number tells, which arrow diameter will best fit for the use: 12 from 10/64” to 14/64”, 23 from 20/64” to 24/64”.
  • The number at the bottom of the finger (e.g. 0,65), informs about the thickness of the finger.

Suggestions for use:

  • Beiter Plunger: it has the same diameter (Ψ 6,0mm) as the centering hole of the Beiter Rest. This allows an extremely precise positioning of the Beiter rest on the bow.
  • Nock-Position: Turn the nock so that the vanes are in a “Y-Position” to the string. In this position you may reach the best possible clearance and the arrow may pass the bow-window without interference!

How to install the Beiter Rest:

Clean the surface on the bow window. Insert a bow-square in the string and the Beiter Rest Tool in the Beiter Rest to easily find the correct position, as much as possible parallel to the bow-square (pic.6). Pay attention that the Beiter Rest Tool must be inserted completely from the back-side. The Beiter Rest may be used for both RH and LH archers: LH may use the Beiter Rest Tool without the blue sleeve, and must work on the front side of the bow, not from the backside as right-handed archers do!

Strip off the Tape and mount the Beiter Rest over the Plunger, trying to keep the Beiter lgo parallel to the bow-square (for LH the word “support”) and press it firmly (pic.7). The maximal adhesive power is reached after about 12 hours.

Due to this position you have a 15° angle, which allows a maximal height adjustment of 2mm.

In the factory setting (Pos. “0”) the Arrow Rest touches both white lines (pic.8). By turning the Beiter Rest Tool to the left the Arrow Rest moves to the front and therefore down (pic.9), changing the position of the arrow towards the Plunger, but also the Nocking Point (will be higher!). A smaller angle will allow a more precise height adjustment, but changes also the stiffness of the Arrow Rest.

With an angle of 15°, one turn of the Beiter Rest Tools moves the Arrow Rest by 0,39 mm. Moving the Arrow Rest by one line (1mm) with a 15° angle effects a height adjustment of 0,26mm.

NOW THE BEITER REST IS READY TO BE SHOT!

Changing the Finger:

- You may easily change for example from Aluminum to Carbon and back, finding always again the exact same position: simply change from “12” to “23” or vice-versa.

- Another reason to change the Finger, may be the fact, that the finger breaks or wears too much. A small groove may be just compensated with the height adjustment.

IMPORTANT! Every Finger comes out of a single mould, so each finger is identical!

To exchange the Finger, insert the Beiter Rest Tool completely into the Spindle (for LH without sleeve, if there is not enough space!), and turn clockwise (to the right, pic. 11) until the Finger is not anymore guided by the Spindle and touches the sleeve (pic.12).

Extract the Finger, while the Spindle will stay clipped in the Support.

Now insert the Finger in the Support, positioning it into the lower guide (pic.13) and clipping it on, like a push-button (pic.14). Insert the Beiter Rest Tool again completely into the Spindle and press simultaneously against the Finger with it and turn counterclockwise (to the left!), to engage the first thread. (LH push against the Finger with their finger).

Now you can move the Finger of the Beiter Rest to the desired position!

NOTES:

  • The Beiter Rest has no screws that can un-lock. As soon as you extract the Beiter Rest Tool, the Finger can no longer move.
  • The Finger may - especially at the beginning - wear: this may be compensated with the height adjustment. If the wear is too extreme, the Finger can easily, precisely and quickly be exchanged.
  • If used under extreme conditions (e.g. a too high nocking point or a not precise tuning, causing clearance problems), the Finger may wear faster.
